Brithday Week 2012

Every year our March is a busy month we have two birthday's in 6 days, that's  alot of cake and ice cream.  This year for my dear husbands birthday we went out to eat the Saturday night before since his day landed on a Tuesday.  I actually invited some friends to come and meet us at the restaurant and surprise him.  He didn't know, so I told him I had a special table just for us, we went to Red Robin he had said he'd like to go there earlier in the week.  His best buddies from work John and Tommy came to and John's better half Shannon came too.  He was surprised and we had a good time.  On his big day we had cake and ice cream and invited some more friends over to help us eat it.  I am no cake decorator and lucky for me Brad doesn't care he just likes yellow cake with chocolate frosting.  The boys put the sprinkles on the cake that is why they are all in the same spot.  I don't see cake decorating their future either, they got my genes in that department.  Over all Brad said he had a great birthday!

Then we had Brady a little party, he had some friends from church come over.  He at first was very specific about how many kids, he was turning 6 so that was all that he was going to invite, but then his list grew  a bit cause I didn't want to leave out the girls in his class.   He wanted us to have everyone dress up as Ninjas.  That was the theme of the party.  Here is Garrett in a costume, he wanted the fabric over his mouth I told him it was going to get hard to breath and wet but he didn't care.  It totally cracks me up!  But then an hour before everyone came over Brady said he didn't want to have everyone dress up, he wanted to wear his Ninjago shirt he got for Christmas.  So we went with out.....

So this was his pose instead that day....
Its been kind of nice weather around here so we decided to do "Ninja training" in the back yard.  We practiced our skills by throwing at targets, crawling through tunnels, kicking and hitting balls into nets.  And then after reaching their "true potential" they all got glow sticks to wave around.  They loved it!  The girls at first were not impressed and did not want to do any of it but then they got into and were having fun.

I got pink glow sticks for the girls, they are so sweet to come and play with us!
Next was pizza and cake and ice cream.

Over all we had a great time, presents were opened, Lego's were played with, Brady is really lucky to have such good friends.  Happy Birthday buddy!

Oh but we can't forget our Ninja baby.  She did awesome at the party even if she slept for the first 45 mins. of it.

This cracked me up because I have two little ninjas at home myself. I will have to show these great pictures to them. We're glad that he had a happy birthday.
