The Neverland Pirates

Our oldest son, was a pirate for about 2 years.  Really its true my older brother sent him a pirate hat and it was love at first site!  A few short months later we got an outfit together for Halloween, and he never took it off.  He'd put it on for when his dad came home, and often went to places like Walmart in it, yes he has an obsessive personality.  Now that he is 5 he is starting to morph into a Star Wars junkie, he still loves the pirates he is just now open to other characters.

 Garrett our youngest is now in the pirate phase.  Disney started a new show this past February (there was a count down for that show) called Jake and The Neverland Pirates.  Every morning at our house Garrett was up at 7:00 a.m. to watch Micky Mouse (his first love) and then right after was Jake. 

Now he pretends to be Jake, and has treasure that we find all the time.  When my parents came the cooler they brought was the treasure box and they'd put all kind of toys in it to find and "hunt"for it all over the house. 

Yesterday was one of those days, he asked me to play Jake and The Neverland Pirates with him.  So I did, its so sweet and cute to see them into their own made up world.  Looks like the pirate phase will be hanging around for a bit longer......

 When I play with him I have to dress up too....

Nice to know he is a nice pirate though.  Even though he is kissing me his eyes kind of look grumpy about it, like a pirate would do.
