Garrett took his first steps today! Well actually I was at the gym last night doing my yoga class and the child care workers told me that he took 3 steps there. Grrrrrrrrrr are you kidding me?! I stay home with him ALL DAY, and I go for an hour to work out and that is where he decided to do a milestone! So I take him home thinking maybe he walked because he was falling and he tried to catch himself? Yeah I was reaching... I tried to get him to do it, and he would not even stand the stinker. The next day I go back and they asked me, "did he walk for you?" No! and please rub salt in the wound why don't you! So that day I tried to get him to stand about arm length apart and he kind of took 2 steps towards me! I called Brad and told me that we were going to practice tonight. Here is what he's done so far!
Sorry I'm yelling into the video, I forgot I was the one holding the camera. I was just so surprised he has been holding on to so many things and his walker that I didn't realize he was going to take a step yet. We thought it would be another month before he'd try to let go and walk.
He also had been babbling and making funny sounds all the time. After eating dinner he was making faces at his dad so I added the video of him as well. Yes, I know he is covered in rice it was Asian night in our house hold and he wanted to feed himself!! I still think he's a cutie!

He was practicing so he could get it right the 1st time you saw him. Boys always want their mommas to be proud of them. That walker you bought him for his birthday must have worked wonders. Now you've really got trouble on your hands.
