Daddy's Day

I'm one of the lucky ones, I know my
Father. And he knows me, in this day and age everyone has a father, if your here on this earth you have one. Weather you are lucky enough to know them, and for them to know you may be another story. For me, Dad has always been there, and this is the day do say THANK YOU for that. He is many things, to most who don't know him he can come across as the strong silent type, to others he is a good ole' friend. But to me he's MY DAD! My dad has been there to cheer us kids on since the day we were born. There to teach us how to ride bikes, swim, take us camping, and our biggest supporter when we were old enough to do things on our own like sports. He was there at all my swim meets, basketball games, dance classes, my brother and sisters activities as well. No wonder he is so well rounded, we put him through so much! Thanks for letting us feel loved and secure, not giving up on us when we drive you up the wall and loving our kids like they are your own. Your the best!

Now that I think about it my Dad and husband have some of the same qualities. Brad at first is definitely the strong silent type, but get to know him and you will say over and over, I didn't know that about you......! He has many loves, but I think it can go with out saying he loves his family the most. Especially the one that we have built together. Brady adores him; we all know he is a Daddy's boy. This Friday when Brad came home from work he was so excited, we had got Brad "surprises" he yelled at him, "Happy Mothers Day! Look what we got- a pie for you." Then dragged him to the freezer where I had a pie hidden. I at first was frustrated that he didn't wait, and said "Brady its a surprise" and he looked at his dad and said, "Dad we got a surprise for you! Look!" Then picked up the pie and gave it to him. Brad just laughed and said its ok, another great quality he has- very little upsets him. I hope he knows how much we love him and how much we feel his love as he kisses us goodbye every morning and kisses us and hugs us when he first walks in the door at night. I hope you know Babe that everyday for our boys is a Fathers Day.

Dana, That's a very sweet tribute to your dad and Brad and I completely agree. What a lucky girl you are to have such good men in your life, including those two little men your are raising. I love the pie story. So sweet.
Love you,
Mom
