Garrett's 6 month update.....

I feel like I haven't talked about our little guy Garrett in a long time. He turned 6 months old on Jan. 10th, and I would have done the responsible parent thing and gush how he has grown, except that weekend I was very sick with a stomach bug that he actually got as well. But now we are back on track, and all is well in our house. We took him to the Doctor to do his well child check and yup its confirmed he is well and a child. He in a word is content. He likes to sit up now all on his own, but not much of a mover. He is OK with sitting back seeing what is going on, if something is placed in front of him his arms attack and he can play with what ever object you give him for a long time. With nothing to look at he likes to move his arms, and legs. I think he thinks he might be moving if he does this, I tried to explain to him"You are not going anywhere!" But you know kids these days they think they know best. On his stomach he just looks at me like, "what am I suppose to be doing?" One day he will surprise us all and move.



Maybe its his size, he's a hefty 19 lbs. 5 oz and that puts him at the 71 % and his length is 27 inches long which is 58%, his head is 44 cm, which is 47 %. He is getting to be more average. When he was 4 months old he looked like a 6 month old, everyone would ask "is he 6 months?" and I'd say no only 4, or 5 months. Now he looks his age.






We sure do love him, and love that he has decided to sleep through the night. It was touch and go there for a while, and I didn't understand it but now, we are on a schedule which I love! I'm this control freak that likes to know when things are happening and for how long. He was really fickle for a while during the holidays, but in the last 2 weeks he has decided to play my way and we are rocking and roll'n. I can't wait to see what the next 6 months brings for this little guy!
