This week was storm week here in Bentonville. We prepared by making sure we had everything we would need for the week. It was a good time for us to look through our 72 hour kits and make sure we had flash lights and batteries (which we didn't). The news kept saying its going to be ice and then snow. And man on man they were right! At first we thought everyone might be getting excited over nothing considering it does not snow much here.........but I'm glad we listened to the warnings and had our supply. And more grateful that we didn't lose power as some did. This is the ice that was outside our front door! After two days......

Those are pretty big icicles. We are enjoying 65 degree weather here :)
I'm glad you were prepared. Those icicles are huge, and beautiful. I wish I could have been there to help smash them. I love knocking down ice.
That's beautiful and scary all at once. It reminds of the movie A Christmas Story where she says "those icicles have been known to kill people." So glad you kept power and got to enjoy a little winter wonderland.
ah, melissa's comment made me smile. man, i miss you guys. but wow! i don't know what i'd do in that kind of freezing weather... do i even remember what it's like to be that cold? i don't think so. snow is beautiful, though. to look at at least. stay warm! love you.
Honey it's soooo good you weren't without power, etc. Great pictures!
Buuuurrrrr!
look at that crazy ice!?! We had a crazy storm here too, but those icicles are impressive. :D
Those are some awesome icicles hanging off your roof! :)
