Catching up....

A few weekends ago we went to Silver Dollar City, this time with good friends and their three sons.  My boys love their boys, they were so excited to take them around.  Our friends have never been to an amusement park before, so there was lots of excitement when we go there.  I being 6 months pregnant couldn't go on any of the rides but still had fun watching their faces......

Do you remember your first roller coaster ride?  Or the water ride that got you soaked?  I hope these guys remember it for a long time to come!

Garrett loves this bouncing frog ride not sure  why he's done lots of other bigger crazier rides but he really wanted to take Jackson (sitting right behind him) on it.  They laughed the whole time they were on it!

After getting wet with water guns at the Huck Finn ride.  They are cheering to do it again, and again they did not want to leave this part of the park.

Tyler however the oldest of our friends wanted to go on a BIG water ride, so Brad took him and Brady on this one.  I told him before he saw it you go down a big hill really fast and then get splashed at the bottom.  He said OK, then when he saw it his eyes got wide and he turns to me and says, " I didn't know it was going to be that BIG of a hill."  I told him he didn't have to go but he put a brave face on and got in line with Brad and Brady.    So proud of him!  Brady is in the very front, Tyler next and Brad in the middle, we don't know how the last two people sitting behind Brad.

After riding ourselves into an exhausted mess we packed up and drove over to Fuddruckers to eat some grub and headed home.  The food was good but our poor littlest friend Jackson threw up all over his mother as we were walking out of the restaurant!  That in and of its self is always an adventure to have with your kids!  So we cleaned them all up and headed home to dream of all the different rides they got to experience that day.

Later that week on Wednesday I get a phone call from my mom, Brad is out of town and she was just "checking in" with me so see how our week was.  Half way through talking to her the door bell rings and my boys go to the door and look through the window and start jumping up and down.  I tell her to hold on someone is at the door.  I open it up and there stands both of my parents!  They have a sign that says Surprise!  Happy Birthday Dana!  I was totally shocked and just stood there.  I kept saying Oh my gosh your are here!  Wow you are here!  I think I for got to hug them because I was so in shock, which my two boys were hugging and jumping and yelling they knew exactly how to respond!  So we got to spend the whole next week with them!  It was very busy but very fun.  More to come on that week stay tuned!

I can't tell you how excited I would be to have my parents show up at my door and surprise me! Probably not going to happen, but I'm happy that you got to spend time with your folks. The day at the amusement park looks like it was a blast . . . minus the kid blowing chunks on his mom! Sigh, been there, done that. Love ya, Sandra
