Busy Birthday week...

When my parents came I was so happy and surprised, Brad was out of town and I thought maybe he knew they were coming but he didn't even know, so we decided to surprise him when he came home from California.  The kids and my parents hid in the my bedroom and when he walked in the door I told him the boys were hiding and to go and find them.  He was so surprised to find my parents with them!
That weekend Brad had wanted to get a room at a hotel for my birthday and some friends of ours was going to watch the kids for the night, but my parents said they'd watch them and still wanted us to go out for the night!  So we went on a double date and then Brad and I headed off to a hotel while my parents picked up the kids and took them home and tucked them in bed.  The next day was pouring rain, so Brady's soccer game was cancelled and they were going to have his first big game on Monday.

Sunday we ate cake and ice cream to celebrate the day and had a great together.  Here we are singing, the boys love this part.  Almost as much as eating the cake and ice cream its self.

Monday came and Brady was so excited for the game, and when he got to the field he saw he was playing a team that had one of his best buddies on it, the little boy that went with us to Silver Dollar City! The only thing is that he only wanted to play when his friend was playing.  His coach of course didn't know this and didn't send him in when his friend was playing and then when he asked him to go Brady refused!  Grrrr..........talk about frustrated, Brad and I were telling to go we wanted to cheer for him and my parents were there to see the game too.
His coach didn't know why he wouldn't play so we explained it to him and he asked what number his friend was and the next time he went in Brady was willing to go in.  We had to have a talk about listening to the coach and going in when he tells you to and to be a good sport.
In the picture above he still isn't sure about it all, but then once he went in to play he had a blast!  He scored two times and we smiling from ear to ear!  My dad said he would pay him a quarter each time he scored, so he's a professional now.......or so he thinks!  After the game the coach told them how to tell the other team good job.  Brady is number 3 and wanted to be the leader.

Him and his Nana after the game......

Tuesday night I hosted a baby shower at my house for my friend Haylie who is having her first girl!  She needs a little girl she will probably be just as cute as Haylie is with big eyes and blonde hair.  I was nervous about having one at my house I have never had a party because I had no idea where to put everyone and I do not decorate.  So Chelsie came to the rescue on this one and made decorations for my house.  She is brilliant and I kept telling people that night who tried to give me credit.  I just made sure that there was food to eat.  My parents even cleaned up my house with me to get it ready that night.  I wanted proof that there was cute pink things in my house so I tried to take a couple of pictures.  I don't know if you get the full affect of it or not but these are the best I could do.

So each onesie has a number on it for the month of the baby, Haylie is becoming a really good photographer and so Chelsie thought she could take monthly pictures of her until she was a year old.  Cute idea huh???

I think that there were even more decorations, it looked so nice and it was such a fun party!  Lots of her friends showed up and showered her with love, just what she deserves.

Also that week my parents got to eat lunch with Brady at school and helped me do some many projects around the house!  My dad showed Brad how to insulate our attic and so we are hoping it will help our bills and keep the house warm this winter. They helped with our yard and cleaned all my windows for me, really its pretty amazing.  I tried to tell them to stop but they are just so generous with helping around my house.  My house is totally in good shape for the winter now so I can't thank them enough!

You tell my boys love them and were very sad to see them go!  Can't wait to see them when the baby comes.  This was one of the best birthday weeks ever!!

I enjoyed the week. It's so much fun to see how much the boys change from visit to visit. They are growing up!
