We had an unexpected bump in the road that we could not have gotten through without her.
Brad woke up on Wednesday at 4:30 a.m. and was in tons of pain. He was rolling around in the bed moaning and felt sharp pains in lower stomach and back. We talked and decided there was no way he could wait until the Doctor's office opened up and I would need to take him to the ER. So I crept into Jenny's room at 5:00 to tell her we were leaving and ask her to stay with our two sleeping boys. She was great and of course said she would take care of the boys. How amazing is that blessing that she was visiting when Brad had to go to the ER? I didn't have to wonder what neighbor I would have to try and wake up, or if I could take my two kids to the ER with us! So off we went and two hours later we had it confirmed that it was a kidney stone. The poor guy was given three different kinds of drugs and sent home with a strainer to catch the stone. Can I just say that I was so thankful that Jenny was here and that this all happened the day BEFORE thanksgiving.
Thursday we could still have a day of rest at our house, and make a wonderful dinner for us all to enjoy.
Jenny and Garrett made "slush" a McKasson traditional drink.
The turkey turned out great, as Brad said, "This is the best one yet!!" But he has said that every year since I started making them.
Dinner was awesome and so was the Pie and a game of Catch Phrase at our friend Sarah and Toms house, (another tradition). This year we are so thankful for good family and friends that have blessed us continually! More pictures of other fun festivities are coming soon!

That was my first thought when you said lower back pain. Tell him it's somewhat like labor, but not as bad. But, I'm so thankful to hear that it was not more serious.
Turkey...belissimo! Gorgeous. And we too believe in turkey bags.
I'm thankful for U!
I have had many kidney stones, and Marshal just had 2 in the last 2 months. It is so painful. I hope he doesn't get any more. I'm glad he is ok. Your turkey looks amazing!
So glad we could share the pies with you :) Love you!
I love Thanksgiving! You and your little family are among our very best blessings. What a blessing to have Jenny there. Thanks Jenny! Your turkey looks yummy. Hope Brad has passed that stubborn stone by now.
