Pumpkin Patch

I like the idea of taking my kids to the pumpkin patch, until I get there then I worry. Let me explain- the patch is huge! And I worry that they will run off and in two different directions and leave me yelling at them to come back. Which is exactly what they did. Oh well, I just have to realize other kids get so excited they can't control themselves and have to explore to right?

This pumpkin patch has fun cut outs that you put your faces in, my boys were willing to do this so that I could take a picture. I thought about how Garrett has no idea what these huge wood boards are and he is just doing what his big brother is doing. Cracks me up!

Cute huh? I have many more....

There are tons of pumpkins already picked and laying around or you can go out and get your own. Its up to you. We explored both options.

Garrett is still exploring, Brady is smiling for me hoping I will put that dang camera away! No chance buddy you guys are to cute out there.

Garrett is always doing what his older brother is doing. I am starting to teach Brady he has to set a good example for his younger brother, but its an uphill battle. Isn't that a cool white pumpkin Garrett is sitting next to? They have all kinds at the pumpkin patch. They also give tractor rides which we were going to go on until Garrett decided to jump/fall into a mud puddle and got mud on his face, hands, shirt, pants and shoes. Then I decided we'd better head home to get him into a bath.
As much as I love spring, fall has become a favorite time of year for me as well, I love the way leaves turn bright colors, and how crisp the air gets. I am getting ready to hunker down for winter and need these last few weeks to get outside. I hope the cold creeps in slow this fall and we get a little while longer to enjoy this weather.

I love you, Dana! You are such a great mom to give your kids these fun memories even when Garrett needs a bath after!

I really love your fall pictures. The boys are so cute and look like they're having fun. I have pictures from several years and wow they've grown! I know, that's what we all about the kids all the time, so it's getting old, but gee, they're getting so big! Glad you posted - love you all and miss you especially at this fun time of year. :)

Gotta love a trip to the pumpkin patch with the kiddies! Even though my "kiddies" are all twenty and thirty-somethings, now, we still take an annual trip to the pumpkin patch. So fun to go with the grandchildren now. I think the pumpkin patch will remain a Hale family tradition for a long time! These are great memories for your kids, Dana. Well done. Love, Sandra
