I've got some new shoes and I love 'em. Don't you just love new shoes? Well I'm not really that Fashion Forward truth be told, I need a style ya know? Have you ever wondered what style you are, some people they just
know what they like, what looks good on them, ect. For me its fit, if they are comfortable I'm a go.
My new shoes I have to confess are very comfortable, but they should be they are running shoes. I know so excited over gear that you exercise and sweat in?!? Not that cool, but hey I don't claim to be cool. Anyway I had this great experience at the sports store they put me up on a treadmill and watched me run then analyzed it and told me what would fit best for
me. I tried on three very comfortable pairs of shoes, all different brands and colors. It was a hard decision but I decided to go with the Asics and they were trimmed with PINK. Lets go with vanity folks. I've never had a pair of pink trimmed running shoes, or Asics but I found love in the unknown.

What do ya think? Well after this whole thing I realized I don't own very many shoes and started looking at some others. When I was looking for running shoes my husbands cousin suggested I get TOMS. Ever heard of them? Me neither, but I looked them up and found that they weren't running shoes at all, he was joking, and that they are causal shoes. I found out that this small shoe company makes really informal looking shoes for a reason. For every shoe you buy they donate a pair to a child in need. The owner went to Argentina in 2006 and saw all these cute kids running around with no shoes on, so the good man started up a shoe store. You buy a shoe he gives a pair away. With in a year he returned to Argentina with 10,000 pairs to give away. Inspiring huh? Yeah I thought so too, so I looked into which kind I would want. These are the ones that popped out at me:

I've heard TOMS are so super comfy on your feet that people buy them in all different colors. So I showed them to my husband um....he was not impressed. I should have went with the heart felt story first! He said and I quote, "Those look like shoes my Grandpa would have worn, in the The Great Depression." Ouch! So after his review I decided to poll the experts on Fashion in my family and Brad's to be fair. My family: most definitely my sister along with her husband. They both have a good eye and are never generic. My sister- totally on board, she thought they were cute and I almost convinced her to buy a pair. Her husband, again not so impressed. Is it a gender thing?
But my husbands youngest brother definately in with style- he owns skinny jeans, enough said. I called him up and told him about my shoe delemia. He laughed and said right now in Salt Lake City they are the newest fad. Yea!! He said he himself does not own any but his best friend, she has many in different colors and he would ask her about sizing for me! Called me back a day later with her at his side and she vouched for them and helped me out. So I put it to you, do you like them? Could I start a trend here in Arkansas? Please do tell.

I love getting new running shoes. In fact, that is the thing I allow myself to by after every pregnancy when I start running again. So that's what is on my mind now.....what shoes to buy?
I like them!!!! I know the boys don't like them, but I say you start the trend!
I'm all for a trend based on comfort. :)
I love asics! That was the brand that fits my foot best. I found this really neat store in Cookeville that I love and they actually have TOMS! I didn't try any on but they do look comfy. I like cute shoes, but I definitely like comfortable ones. Let me know what you decide.
Mom
Dana, I meant to comment forever ago on your trip to that small town with Brad. Tim and I almost peed our pants! Bytheway I've heard of Tom's and I say if they are comfy you should get them!! I have many shoes I bought cause I thought they were "cool" and comfortable and I've never regreted it!
Dana, I totally own the gray Tom's and I LOVE them. Tom's are the hip thing to wear hear, so tell Brad to shove it. Walk proud girl.
I LOVE Asics as running shoes. That's what I wore when I ran the half. TOMS are totally in right now. They are definitely on my wish list right now!
