Rain

It has been a long dry summer, our grass was growing and green in the beginning and then slowly turned to brown. And crunchy, not soft on your bare feet at all, which is a shame since the best part of summer is walking around with no shoes on your feet. Then on the first day of the month mother nature must have wanted to welcome September in with a gift. The clouds came, darker and darker the wind blew and slowly one drop at a time it began to rain. Everyone was so excited, Rain we all wanted it and almost could not believe it at first; we all wondered will it just tease us and stop after a cloud passes us by? During then morning it was on and off and then in the afternoon we some good stuff and it lasted a little longer. So my boys decided the best way to celebrate was to jump right in and dance.

Great minds think alike, we were out playing and our little friend down the street was out splashing in puddles with her Grandma. The boys as soon as they saw her took off running for her! Wish I had gotten a shot of her little rain boots they were awesome! Hope the rain comes again soon so we can partake in this ritual again!
