Bread Pudding

My cousin Kim and her mom (Aunt Janice) came to visit while driving from the West to Tennessee. I was so happy to see them its been to long and I'm glad we could catch up. Brady of course loved having family for a few days, and my aunt became his best bud. The problem? He could not say her name, he could say Aunt Jan but if you tried to teach him to say Janice it came out James. So we would here, "Hey, Hey James come here! You play wit me?!" I'd try to correct him but he just kept calling her James! Thankfully she knows how to laugh it off and not get a complex that an almost three year old is calling her James.
While they were here they decided to treat my family to one of their favorite desserts! Its called Bread pudding, have you ever heard of it? I thought maybe real pudding was involved but I would be wrong. Brady of course wanted to help. Here are some pictures....

See that smile on her face, well she is smiling because she has a secret. The secret is that this recipe could kill me! I found the recipe today while cleaning some papers on my kitchen counter and let me tell you its FAT! Pure and simple, you use 2 cups of milk and 2 cups heavy whipping cream. That wouldn't be so bad if that was all but that just for putting on top of the bread and letting it bake, then there is the heavenly SAUCE that you put over it. Its made of 1cup butter and 1/2 cup cream and 1 cup sugar! This girl knows that she was leaving in the morning so she could have a small portion that may put her in a coma but not kill herself. Then they were going to leave a whole 9x13 pan at my house for us to eat! Yeah lets just say I've been running more at the gym this week! Still I love my younger cousin, and can't wait to see them again this summer. You just wait until I get into your kitchen!
