Wide Open Spaces

So when Brad and I were looking for a house we had two different ideas on our yard. I wanted land and lots of it! Brad being more practical because he'd be mowing the yard wanted a small size yard. We went back and forth but we could both agree that we needed a fence to keep bad things out of the yard and our good little boys IN the yard. So what did we do? We bought a house with no fence in the back. Yup, we knew we'd need to add the back part of the fence right away to our yard, both our smarter neighbors had already put up their fences so we had sides but no back. And our even smarter Home Owners Association wanted one up because our land went up the busy street that was outside the neighborhood. In fact they'd be willing to pay for half if we did it. So we decided to go for it. This is the view out of my back window I saw everyday for the first 5 months we've lived here. I saw someones else big plot of land I just wanted to run through! Then this guy showed up one day. He was Brady's new best friend, he was outside our door digging holes right after an ice storm and happy about it to. Brady needed to talk to this guy, he would bang on our windows and yell, "Hey hey guys what are you doing?" And the guy would smile and yell back, I'm digging holes. Brady's next question........"When is your birthday? My birthday March 12th!" I'm thinking......OK I'm very glad that there are walls and windows between this man and my son. Judgemental much? Yeah I know but what would you think?

Brady is sooooooo happy they finished it, it was on a cold Sunday and Brady was DYING to go out and play. So I let him for a short period of time. He loves the back yard now and asks " I go out in the yard?"

My new view of the back yard may not win any scenic awards, but my son is in heaven therefore I am in heaven. Let the games begin!!

i think the fence looks great - i remember when we first fenced our old house.....i loved the privacy. During my pregnancy with Megan, I even ran laps around the back yard, trying to go into labor. Boy was I thankful for that fence!!!

I bet you're loving the fence and being able to send Brady outside to run off all his energy!

We need a fence too. Maybe Brady's new best friend can be friends with our family too.

The fence looks great!
