I didn't think you'd want to see him in action but this will give you a visual of he looks like in the "sitting position".
OK so I need some feed back on this one ladies.....sorry for those of you who don't have kids just ignore this post. Brad and I thought we'd really try to get Brady potty trained before the baby came in July, he's always been interested. So this week was my big push, my method-take him every 1/2 hour and if he went make a HUGE deal about it and give him M&M's. So at first he would just hold it, and have a dry diaper till he fell asleep and then empty his bladder. But then the last three days he's actually gone. He went poop once a day for the last three days and today he peed and pooed in one sitting, he got more M&M's on that one. An hour later he peed again! But then that's it, no more and interest is all gone. If I ask him if he needs to go the answer is always no, I always get this glimmer of hope once is he does it in the potty but I don't know if its good luck that I've gotten him to go once a day or what. So my question is, should I be happy with these results, or should he have gotten it by now what is going on? Part of me thinks, man we are tied to the house taking him that much but if he gets it then great! How long does it usually take a kid to learn? I know my sister in law said once her daughter was ready it took her about a week and she was fully potty trained- its been 5 days and we are no where near that! So please i need advice and encouragement. Unless the poll states I'm going about all wrong and to young, then maybe we will put it off. It would just be nice to get this accomplished before July! Let me know what you think!

Well we are waiting until the baby comes in case Reagan regresses. Also I feel she still can't tell me when she needs to go, just when she is going or just went. So we are waiting. Sorry I have no advice for doing it. Ask me again in 2 or 3 months!
Ok, so I;m not an expert, but I did work in the potty training room at a daycare, so this is waht I've concluded...a child WILL NOT be potty trained until he/she is ready. It sounds like Brady is on the right track, but it doesn't sound like he is ready to me. I truly believe that once a child is ready, it only takes a matter of days or a week or two to be trained. Keep encouraging him and don't discourage if he ever does want to go on the potty, but leave it at that for now. I know that you want to have him potty trained by July, and that still could very well happen, but I would say try again in a few months. You'll be surprised a what a difference a few months will make if he is ready. Good luck. It's not an easy thing to do and remember....this is just my opinion.
Dana, we both know that I have no clue how to potty train a kid. After giving up twice I started making her sit on the potty and "try". Then, one day, she yelled from upstairs that she had gone poo poo. She had put herself on her potty and that was the end of it. She decided.
It sounds like you're getting pretty good advice. I tried with Trenton just before Simon came, and he regressed. We are back at it again, and so far it is going alright. Lots of asking and taking. We have the peeing almost down, but no poop. So, I think you might be better waiting until after baby. I made the potty seat a fun place to be (watching his favorite shows) so he wasn't afraid of sitting on it. And, if he just so happened to pee, then we rewarded him pretty big.
Good luck! :D
Potty Trained.. POTTY TRAINED! Are yoy serious. Brady is a full year behind Joseph, and judgin by how Joseph is doing, it sounds like Brady is a potty training genious. That's amazing that he's doing so well already. Maybe we're just way behind, but Joseph just won't do it. Two kids in diapers for almost 10 months! I'm off to buy some Huggies stock...
