Happy October

I have really been loving the last two weeks, no need for the AC, a bit chilly in the mornings and the spooky time of year is upon us.  I forgot one of the last days my parents were here the weather was sooooo nice so we decided to go for a "hike".   I had never been to Compton Gardens and I knew there was a point to look over at the new Museum that they were building by it so I thought I'd take my parents and Garrett on it.  My mom is like me a lover of nature, puts us in good moods to be outside breathing in that fresh air. 

 My mom was a little scared Garrett was going to topple over.

Then my boys really wanted to make our house "spooky"  And I always wonder if I can keep up with their standard of how we should decorate.  I did break down last year and get some stuff to make our place  "spooky" but really it needs some improvement if you ask me.  I need some ideas.....got any?  This is what we did to the mantel. 

I was skyping with my sister and two nieces today and the boys wanted to show them what it looked like but the camera doesn't go in that room so I told them I'd take a picture.  So this is for Regan and Alice!  Don't you love this time of year?  Here in Arkansas its really pleasant and as the leaves turn colors its really pretty.One thing I love about the south and Fall is how pretty it can look!  When we lived out west I always missed Tennessee this time of year, I just loved how it looked driving up a mountain with leaves all different colors on both sides of the road.  Making piles and letting the kids jump in them.  More of that is to come this month, Happy October everyone!
