Swimming with friends

Summer time has been so hot this year, it seemed to take a while for spring, it seemed like it would not come and then BOOM, summer was here and it has been one of the hottest since we've moved to NorthWest Arkansas. One way we have been able to beat the heat this summer is swimming. We have really loved the pool this year, and the splash park. Brady is really brave, he swims all over the place and is not scared at all. In the deep end he has to have his floaty's (as he calls them). He does put his face in the water, and kicks well and moves his arms well, we are just working at doing it all at the same time.

Our friends have a pool in their neighborhood which is so cool because they have a slide and water fall feature in it. Garrett was timid at the beginning didn't want to let go of your neck if you were holding him. Each time though he has gotten more and more brave, now he does it all, floats in the water, goes down the slide, jumps to you from the side, blows bubbles in the water.

We even spent a day at the pool when Jenny visited us a few weeks ago. Thanks for playing with the kids they loved it!

But the best part of swimming is the company we keep when we swim. Garrett has a buddy that likes to go with him. She sure is cute!

We only have a few more weeks of swimming time, hope to make the best of it before fall comes.
